Who we are

Durak.md (the durak.md website and apps) is run by Internet-Consulting SRL ("we" below). You can write to us at any time at contact@durak.md. By using Durak.md, you accept these terms.

No ads

We do not show ads. We do not collect data for ads, we do not build player profiles and we do not use advertising, tracking or analytics software from other companies. The game is free and is not played for money: there are no stakes, payments or cash prizes.

What data we keep and why

• Your player name - so that others recognise you at the table and in the top. The name is public.
• Your email, if you save your account with email and password or sign in or save your account with Google or Apple - so that you can sign in again with your email and password and recover your account with a code sent by email. An email you type in is confirmed with a link we send you; until then we keep it as unconfirmed and do not use it for signing in or recovery. We use your email only for your account: we do not send you ads or newsletters.
• Your password, only if you save your account with email and password. We do not keep the password itself: we keep only a hash of it, from which the password cannot be recovered.
• Your Google or Apple account, if you sign in or save your account with them: from Google or Apple we keep only an identifier of your account and your email address (with Apple, if you choose to hide your email, a forwarding address from Apple). We do not receive your password. Google and Apple learn that you use Durak.md, under their own privacy rules.
• Notifications in the iOS and Android apps - we keep your phone's notification identifier (received through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging) and whether you allowed notifications, linked to your account, so that we can send you announcements and game invitations. You can turn them off at any time in your phone settings; the identifier is deleted when you sign out and when you delete your account.
• Your avatar, if you upload one - other players can see it.
• Game statistics - games played, won and abandoned, the wins of the day and of the week for the tops, your chosen language, and the dates your account was created and last used.
• Chat messages - the players at the table see them, including those who sit down later. We do not save them in our database: they disappear when the table closes. Exception: if a player reports a message (the flag in the chat), we keep the text, the author's name and id, who reported it, the table code and the time, so that we can check for abuse. Reports remain after an account is deleted.
• Messages sent to Support - the subject and text, your name and id, your language and the app you write from (website or iOS / Android), so that we can reply. They remain after your account is deleted.
• Security data - wrong password attempts, the password reset code and the email confirmation link (kept only as a hash and valid for a short time), to protect your account. For wrong sign-in attempts and for requests that send emails we also keep the IP address, for at most one hour, to stop mass attempts.
• Your account's IP address - we keep the IP address the account was created from and the one from your last visit, for security and to prevent abuse. They are deleted together with the account.
• Server logs - IP address, time, requested page and browser type, for security, stopping abuse and fixing errors. Access logs are deleted automatically after about two weeks. Technical logs (game server errors, sent emails) may contain your player name or email address; we keep them for a limited time and use them only to fix problems.

What your browser keeps

Durak.md does not use cookies. In the browser's storage (localStorage) we keep your account key, so that you sign in directly on this device, your language, sound and vibration settings, the table you are sitting at (and, until you leave it, the players you muted and the messages you reported there) and the last table options you chose; after an error, the browser also keeps a reload counter for a short time. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.

We do not sell or give your data to anyone

We do not sell, rent or pass your data to other companies. We may give it only to the authorities, when the law requires us to.

Deleting your account

In the game: the "⋯" menu (top right in the lobby) → Settings → Account → "Delete account", then confirm (an account with a password is confirmed with the password).

Your account, email, password, statistics, trophies, avatar, the account's IP addresses and the notification identifier are deleted permanently, at once. Only these remain: chat reports involving the account and messages sent to Support (so that we can check for abuse and reply), game and championship results linked only to a number, without a name or other data, and the server logs, which delete themselves after about two weeks.

If you no longer have access to the game or cannot delete your account in it, write to us from the account's email or with your player name at contact@durak.md and we will delete it for you. You can also write to us there to find out what data we have about you or to correct it.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

• Your avatar: in the game, the "⋯" menu (top right in the lobby) → Settings → Avatar → "Remove avatar". It is deleted at once, permanently.
• Any other data (your email, the link to Google or Apple, your statistics, messages sent to Support, chat reports about you): write to us at contact@durak.md from the account's email or with your player name and tell us which data to delete. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

Your player name stays as long as the account exists, because the game cannot be played without one. If we delete your email and the link to Google or Apple, the account remains only on your device. Server logs delete themselves after about two weeks.

Minimum age

Durak.md is for people aged at least 13. If you are under 13, do not create an account. If you find out that a child under 13 has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

Fair play

Play fair and respect the other players. The following are not allowed:

• programs that play for you or tell you what to play;
• secret agreements with other players at the table (except your partner when playing in pairs) and multiple accounts used for the top;
• offensive or vulgar names, avatars and messages, advertising, or impersonating other players;
• attempts to break the game or the server.

We may change the name, delete the avatar, or block or delete the account of anyone who breaks these rules.

Availability

We do our best to keep Durak.md running well, but the game is provided as it is: there may be interruptions or errors, and an interrupted game may not count in the statistics. We may change or stop features of the game at any time.

Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. The new version appears on this page, with the date of the last update. If you keep using Durak.md after a change, you accept the new terms.
